Total Media wins brief for Abu Dhabi

Total Media has secured the brief from the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority to handle all the media planning and buying for its new advertising campaign.

The media activity will include the use of 100 full-liveried London taxis for the next 12 months and aims to highlight Abu Dhabi's appeal as a luxury holiday and business travel destination.

The campaign, which has a six-figure budget, started last week to coincide with the World Travel Market event in London's Excel centre this week.

It is understood that Total Media won the business without a com­petitive pitch process. There was no incumbent agency.

The campaign will be handled by Total Media account director Amanda Carter and senior account manager Abi Ward.

Total Media Group's travel and tourism credentials already include the Kenya Tourist Board, Flight Centre, Travel City Direct and Premier Resorts, among others.
