Barry Took

Director

Barry began his career at Lintas and worked at several London agencies including Leo Burnett , McCormick Richards and Dorland. Having spent a few years in Theatre Stage Management, he returned to Dorland in 1982 where he moved from the TV department into planning and then went to Connell, May, Steavenson to handle the House of Fraser account. He then headed up the Regional Unit at Saatchis' to work on Tesco and Wimpey Homes. Moving to the Midlands in 1987, he became Media Director at McCann-Erickson’s Solihull office before forming Birmingham Media Company in 1990. BMC was absorbed into the Total Media Group in 1999 and Total Media Connect was born.

When not working, Barry enjoys gardening and collecting cookery books.
