The role

The Ad Operations team straddles the whole Activation team and works on every client with a digital offering, ensuring we deliver a best practice approach to tracking and measurement.

Based in our London office and reporting in to the Ad Ops Manager, the Ad Ops Exec will be the first point of contact for any advertising technology questions or issues, and is responsible for trafficking all digital campaigns for the Activation teams, ensuring requests are completed as per the SLA’s in place and that quality standards are met, and
troubleshooting all queries around trafficking.

They will manage the implementation for all client site tagging and be responsible for responding to client set-up queries, including building the pixels, implementing them via Tag Management systems and QAing the setup. They advise both internally and externally on the best use of new technologies emerging within the AdTech market, and own the relationship with Ad verification suppliers.

They will also work with the Total Media data team to ensure complete integration of digital data sources and automation of data into the Total Media central reporting database.

Key capabilities

  • Knowledge of Ad Servers is desirable (Atlas, DCM, Flashtalking, MediaMind, Sizmek)
  • Well versed in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Professional client communication, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-pace environment
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to proactively organize daily tasks and manage your time effectively

About you                                                                              

You demonstrate a keen passion for all things media, especially the technologies used to support digital advertising operations: ad serving, audience management tools, inventory applications, HTML, XML, and third-party ad tags.

You also have a curiosity for data analytics and how this can impact on advertising effectiveness, and demonstrate strong analytical skills.

You have excellent numerical ability and can understand and explain complex technical issues. You have a working knowledge of the online advertising ecosystem and are keen to develop within a fast-paced and varied environment.

David has worked in Digital Advertising Technology since 2011. He learned the trade at a small B2B publisher in Bristol before working his way up to the lofty heights of Total Media, where he has run the AdOps team since 2015. He currently lives in Manchester with his wife and kids.
